Frequently Asked Questions

What materials do you use for your knitwear?

We primarily use high-quality merino wool for our knitwear. Merino wool is 100% natural, biodegradable, and incredibly soft on the skin. It's also naturally breathable and temperature-regulating, making it perfect for year-round wear. We also use Shetland Wool which is luxury British wool.

How do I care for my knitwear?

The wool is incredibly durable and has amazing properties meaning it only needs minimal care. Your hat gets wet? Just leave it out to dry - no special care required!

If you do need to wash our knitwear, gently wash using cool water and leave to dry flat. Avoid wringing or rubbing the wool whilst wet.

What sizes are available?

Our knitwear comes in a range of sizes from tiny baby to adult. Each product page includes detailed sizing information to help you find the perfect fit. If you need further assistance, please contact us. We are also always happy to discuss custom requests

Do you offer custom orders?

Rachel and Jamie - Our knitwear is inspired by our outdoors lifestyle. Here we are on one of our favourite beaches in Cornwall.

Our knitwear colours are inspired by the beautiful colours of nature and desire to be outside as much as possible.

Our knitwear came as a result of Jamie wanting a hat which would be suitable when he was filming in harsh conditions. He wanted it to be practical and also stylish, suitable in different weather conditions and long lasting. So we created our range of knitwear for The Dorothy Days

We moved to the Tamar Valley, Cornwall in search of a slower pace of life for our family and found it here in this quiet corner of Cornwall. We spend the majority of our time outdoors whether we are finding a new place to hike, taking the children splashing in puddles of climbing the apple trees in the garden!
